Is there a contract? Can I cancel?
No long-term contract. Sonty is month-to-month, billed monthly in advance, and you can cancel anytime. Cancelling takes effect at the end of your current billing month.
Is Sonty HIPAA compliant? Do you sign a BAA?
Sonty is built for HIPAA. Every practice signs our Business Associate Agreement as part of sign-up, and we handle patient information only to run the service for your practice. Our privacy policy explains what we collect and why.
Which practice management software do you support?
Sonty connects to Open Dental today, and Dentrix and Eaglesoft are on our list. If you use something else, sign up anyway and tell us what you use. It helps us decide what to support next.
Do I need to install anything?
No. Your practice software connects through its own API with a key issued for your practice, and QuickBooks and Google connect through their own secure sign-in pages.
Can patients text our existing office number?
Sonty texts from a dedicated number set up for your practice. Before carriers will reliably deliver business texts, the number has to be registered (US "A2P 10DLC" registration), which adds a few business days to setup.
Do you see our QuickBooks or Google passwords?
No. You sign in on Intuit's and Google's own pages, and they give Sonty limited access to your data. You can disconnect at any time from their side.
